Summer of '42 Movie Review 1971

Touching if sentimental story about 15-year-old Hermie's (Grimes) sexual coming of age during his summer vacation on an island off New England. While his friends are fumbling with girls their own age, he falls in love with a beautiful 22-year-old woman (O'Neill) whose husband is off fighting in the war.
