Dona Flor (Braga) is widowed when her philandering husband Vadhino (Wilker) finally expires from drink, gambling, and ladies. She remarries, but her new husband Teodoro (Mendonca) is so boring and proper that she begins fantasizing spouse number one's return. But is he only in her imagination? Based on the novel by Jorge Amado. Portuguese with subtitles. Remade as "Kiss Me Goodbye."
