The Summer of My German Soldier Movie Review 1978

A young Jewish girl befriends an escaped German prisoner of war in a small town in Georgia during WWII. Occasionally sentimental but more often genuinely moving TV drama. Rolle won a deserved Emmy as the housekeeper. Adapted from Bette Green's novel.
