The Hayburners Movie Review 1980

Will Bennett has been assigned a steer to groom for a 4-H contest. Winning seems impossible but the entry of a middle aged retarded helper named Joe changes the story. Although they don't win a blue ribbon, they find their friendship is the biggest prize. The story is from the novel by Gene Smith.
