This program documents the bitter, grueling life of the old Negro Leagues, which did produce major leaguers Don Newcombe, Roy Campanella, and Satchel Paige after general manager Branch Rickey signed Jackie Robinson to a Brooklyn Dodgers' contract in 1946.
