In a late 20th century world suffocating from pollution, George Orr (Davison) visits a dream specialist because he can dream things into being. The specialist wants George to dream of a world free from war, pestilence, and overpopulation, but these dreams have disastrous side effects. Based on the futuristic novel by Ursula K. LeGuin.
