Heartland Movie Review 1981

Set in 1910, this film chronicles the story of one woman's life on the Wyoming frontier, when she contracts to become a housekeeper for a rancher. Elinore (Ferrell) and her young daughter arrive at the home of Clyde Stewart (Torn) and face any number of hazards, which test her courage and spirit. Stunningly realistic and without cliche. Based on the diaries of Elinore Randall Stewart.
