A look at one day in the life of a Netsilik Eskimo family for whom life is no longer a constant struggle. They have left their igloos for rented government housing, receive their government provided family allowance checks to use at the co-op store, and hunt from snowmobiles. We are shown how their traditional self-sufficient way of life has been replaced by the interdependency and specialization of modern life. Part of the "Eskimo Survival" series.
