Grab Hold of Today Movie Review 1977

Dr. Ryl introduces the "Pike Syndrome"-a behavioral phenomenon wherein a person has a rigid commitment to the past; inappropriate reactions of irritation, hostility, anger, inflexibility, and indifference; assumes complete knowledge; refuses to consider alternatives; and is unable to function under stress. Dr. Ryl suggests ways to combat the Pike Syndrome: "freedom factors" which remind people to stay open-minded, to re-examine, adjust, and revise their attitudes.
