It's a dream come true for the bums from Brooklyn. For the first time in six tries the Dodgers beat their cross-town rivals, the hated Yankees, in the World series. Johnny Padres notches three of the Brooklyn wins, including a 2-0 masterpiece in game seven at Yankee Stadium. Sandy Amoros' catch of Yogi Berra's long fly ball thwarted an important Yankee rally and was the key defensive play of the series.
