World Series, 1979 Movie Review 1979

Oriole Manager Earl Weaver is hailed as a genius after expertly maneuvering his Birds to a 3-1 lead after four games. Baltimore never won another game in the series though, as MVP Willie "Pops" Stargell and the Pirate relief pitchers rose to the occasion and dominated the remainder of the series. Stargell's two-run homer off Scott McGregor in game seven moved the Pirate ahead to stay.
