Taken-from-reality tale finds Frank Sinatra (Hopper) in Australia doing a tour in 1974 with struggling producer Rod Blue (Edgerton). Ol' Blue Eyes barely gets off the airplane before mouthing off at reporter Hilary Hunter (de Rossi) when asked some too-personal questions. The resulting countrywide brouhaha keeps him captive in his hotel as unions protest outside and demand that he apologize. Hopper is a natural at doing Sinatra, though Tom Burlinson--often a Sinatra impersonator--performed the vocals.
