Close joins the cast as Monica Rawling, the new captain, who makes Mackey her right-hand man now that the team has disbanded. Aceveda goes after his political aspirations and Vic's ex-partner Shane is working vice with his new partner when they get into trouble with untouchable drug lord Antwon Mitchell (Anthony Anderson). The Strike Team is reformed to combat this latest threat.
