High School Musical Movie Review 2006

Bouncy musical with catchy tunes, made for the Disney Channel, finds high school basketball star Troy (Efron) falling for studious Gabriella (Hudgens) on vacation (they do karaoke together). When they realize they go to the same school, Troy is pressured to stay with the status quo--especially when he wants to try out for the school musical with Gabriella against the very ambitious Evans siblings.
