The title character (Fiscutenau) is a grubby 62-year-old widower living in a shabby apartment with a lot of cats. After suffering head and stomach pains all day, he finally calls for help. Medic Mioara (Gheorghiu) and the ambulance driver eventually arrive and the dying man is trundled from one over-crowded hospital to another to be seen by one over-worked and/or indifferent doctor after another. He gets sicker and weaker until someone finally pays attention. This all takes a very, very long time and the message seems to be don't get seriously sick in Bucharest. Inspired by an actual 1997 incident; Romanian with subtitles.
