When Bob Munro (Williams) is forced to cancel a vacation for a business trip to Colorado, he decides it's the perfect opportunity to reconnect with his over-scheduled family. Bob rents a hideously gaudy RV and tricks wife Jamie (Hines), grumpy teen daughter Cassie (Levesque), and macho young son Carl (Hutcherson) into a road trip. Bob is basically clueless, and they run into various calamities (generally involving raw sewage) as well as the goofy, constantly upbeat Gornicke family, who live in their RV and really want to bond with the Munros. Headed by Daniels and Chenoweth, the Gornickes are a really scary/funny bunch. Williams does shtick but at least the schmaltz is minimal.
