The call is still coming from (gasp!) inside the house in this remake of the 1979 nail-biter, except the house is now a modern high-tech glass palace (strangely without caller ID though)--in the middle of nowhere, of course (because that's where most palaces are). The violence that marked the original is toned down to make it more teen-friendly. Unfortunately, so is the suspense.
