Sorry, Haters Movie Review 2005

Behaving erratically, New York cable TV executive Phoebe (Wright Penn) hops into a cab driven by Ashade (Kechiche) to head to her ex-husband's house in Jersey seeking to get even with him for remarrying and taking everything. A chemist in his homeland, Ashade is suffering too, as the Syrian Muslim's brother is being unjustly held at Guantanamo, unable to enter the country. But his compassion for her and belief that she could help him are horribly misguided. Wright Penn and Kechiche are solid in this uneven look at post-9/11 culture and attitudes.
