Yearning to make it big in faraway Nashville, Ralph (Day) forsakes his parents' down-under farm with guitar in hand. Hitchhiking with punk Boyd (Roxburgh) and pretty Patsy (Otto)--who claims country crooner Patsy Cline as her namesake--he finds out free rides don't usually end well (not in the movies anyhow) as the cops bust them on drug charges. Patsy flees, leaving the boys in the pen, though there's not much suspense to their fate as director Kennedy's story repeatedly jumps back and forth in time between locales.
