Lady in the Water Movie Review 2006

He's usually creeping us out but this time Shyamalan's idea came from a bedtime story he told his daughters. Building manager Cleveland Heep (Giamatti) rescues a mysterious young woman (Howard) from the apartment pool and discovers she's not human. She's a narf (water nymph) who's somehow gotten lost and is trying to return to her own magical world. However, she has enemies who don't want that to happen and Cleveland tries to both help and protect her. Sounds pretty straightforward but, of course, it's not--although the director swears there's no twist ending this time. Not yet reviewed.
