Simon the Magician Movie Review 1999

At the behest of the French police, Budapest magician Simon (Andorai) travels to Paris to solve a murder, although it doesn't seem very important to the plot. Instead, Simon falls in love with Jeanne (Delarme) and is challenged by rival Peter (Halasz) to a deadly duel--being buried alive for three days. References the biblical story of Simon Magus and St. Peter. Hungarian and French with subtitles.
