An inexplicable Oscar nominee, this confusing melodrama concerns a brother and sister and family secrets coming to light. Voiceover actress Sabina (Mezzogiorno) lives in Rome with her actor boyfriend, Franco (Boni). After dubbing a rape scene, Sabina begins having nightmares about a scared child and decides to visit her brother, Daniele (Lo Cascio), who lives in Virginia. She pressures him to tell what he knows. Side stories involving Franco's work on a soap opera and a couple of Sabrina's friends finding (and losing) romance dissipate the tension. Attractive cast. Italian with subtitles.
