Willis lets himself go to seed as alcoholic NYPD detective Jack Moseley, a burnout who's been corrupted by the job and is just waiting to collect his pension. He's assigned to transport motor-mouthed witness Eddie Bunker (Mos Def) to a grand jury hearing 16 blocks from the station. Easy--until someone starts shooting at them. Jack calls for backup only to discover that Eddie is testifying about some bad cops, including Jack's ex-partner Frank Nugent (a menacing Morse), who isn't about to let that happen. Donner directed the "Lethal Weapon" series, so he knows how to keep things moving.
