Pretty actors play tragic lovers in a romantic drama based on a Celtic legend. Dark Ages Irish princess Isolde (Myles) is the marriageable bargaining chip for her scheming father (O'Hara), whose aim is to rule the squabbling English tribes. Isolde rescues, and falls in love with, injured warrior Tristan (Franco), who happens to be the champion of powerful Briton Lord Marke (Sewell). Unbeknownst to the lovers, Isolde has been promised to Marke; they try to do the right thing. It's appropriately swoony and teary and noble.
