Uno Movie Review 2004

Living in Oslo with his dying father, withdrawn mother, and mentally-challenged brother proves too much for 25-year-old David (Hennie) who seeks refuge with the wrong crowd at the local gym and ends up under arrest. The distasteful change of scenery makes him grasp the meaning of life so he rats out the bad guys to get out of jail and rushes to his dad's deathbed to make amends. Unfortunately the crooks aren't so forgiving and unleash an overwhelming wave of violence that's not for the meek. Lead actor Hennie also wrote and directed. In Norwegian with English subtitles.
