Parker plays against her "Sex in the City" role. She's still a New Yorker here, but an uptight one--who's dragged to boyfriend Everett's (Mulroney) family home for the holidays. Mix of characters (gay, deaf, African American, tomboy girl) hits all those let's-not-overlook-anyone buttons. Unfortunately, the likeable ones are rare. No one likes Meredith and they're not shy about it. Another attempt at screwball holiday comedy with a decent cast that delivers on low expectations.
