Derailed Movie Review 2005

Disappointing thriller has Owen as Charles Schine, unhappily married, in the midst of a midlife crisis, and more than willing to be enthralled by the charms of equally unhappy Lucinda (Aniston). However, while in their seedy hotel room, the couple is attacked by psycho-thief Laroche (Cassel), who then threatens to reveal their affair unless they pay him off. Since Owen can't convincingly play a wimp (though he tries), you wait for him to mop the floor with this sleazy Frenchman. First English-language feature for Swedish director Hafstrom; adapted from the James Siegel novel.
