Early talkie with Oland starring as evil Fu Manchu. Fu vows vengeance on the English Petrie family, whom he holds responsible for the deaths of his loved ones during the Boxer Rebellion. He hypnotizes sweet Lia (Arthur) to do his fiendish bidding but the Petries are warned by Scotland Yard to be on the lookout. Based on the novel by Sax Rohmer. Followed by "The Return of Dr. Fu Manchu."
