Palm Beach socialite Penelope (Lombard) is a bored divorcee who marries ne'er-do-well Bill (Cortez) who, fortunately, soon drops dead. (Must have been all that extramarital activity.) Thus leaving her free to pursue old flame and idealistic doctor, Karl Bemis (Lukas). Adapted from the novel "No One Man" by Rupert Hughes.
