The sock-puppets that made the world fall in love with the "Rainbow Connection" find themselves somewhere over the rainbow in this made-for-TV feature. Granted, the Muppets have been much, much funnier in the past, but after stinkers like "Muppets Christmas Carol" and "Muppets Treasure Island," it's nice to see the folks at the Henson Company trying to return their creations to their comedic roots. Sure, Ashanti is a pretty dull lead, but the supporting cast is strong and the humor is surprisingly adult. The Muppets might be owned by Disney now, but you can still enjoy Wizard's Quentin Tarantino cameos and jokes about Gonzo's nipples. (Honestly.)
