Nine Lives Movie Review 2005

Character study that captures brief but intense moments in the lives of nine women, ranging from a pregnant married woman (Wright Penn) running into a former lover (Isaacs) at a supermarket to a teenager's (Seyfried) attentiveness to her disabled father (McShane), to cancer, romance, adultery, divorce, death, and mothers and daughters. Writer/director Garcia (the son of famed writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez) showcases his leading ladies while not forgetting to support his equally talented supporting males.
