Documentary was released to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the 1955 murder of Till, a 14-year-old African American from Chicago who went to visit his grandfather in Money, Mississippi, where he was tortured and killed for allegedly whistling at a white woman. Till's murder became a pivotal moment in the civil rights movement. The Justice Department reopened the case when new evidence came to light, thanks to the years-long investigation of director Beauchamp. Includes TV and newsreel footage and numerous interviews.
