In Her Shoes Movie Review 2005

Despite its sometimes-embarrassing stereotypes and implausible situations, sappy but fun chick-flick works as a story of two very different sisters navigating the bonds of family. Rose (Colette) seemingly has life buttoned up, while Maggie (Diaz) is a mess who shows up homeless and drunk at Rose's door. Maggie manages to continually screw things up and Rose finally tosses her out. Maggie ends up at long-lost grandma Ella's door, where she rather comically falls in with Ella's senior friends as relationships eventually get mended.
