Failed TV shows usually make pretty crappy movies (remember "Mod Squad?"), but Joss Whedon's big-screen adaptation of his small-screen "Firefly" series is one of the coolest sci fi adventures in recent memory. Captain Mal Reynolds (Fillion) and the crew of his cargo ship, Serenity, attempt to hide River Tam (Glau), a waifishly good-natured super-assassin, from the evil government Alliance that created her. Things hit the fan when the coolly evil Operative (Ejiofor) gets on their trail, but that won't keep Mal from "aiming to misbehave." Imagine a movie based on everything you loved about Han Solo and the Millenium Falcon, and you'll get an idea of why so many fanboys worship at the altar of Whedon.
