Devon is an eloquent wordsmith at the crossroads of life: pursue college or battle rap his way to the top? Despite his girlfriend and father pushing for college, Devon's dreams of becoming an mc drive him to the stage. Half-baked storyline begins to drag quickly, but to its credit, the film avoids the cliched misogyny and profanity that so many urban dramas cling to. Rough enough to keep younger audiences watching, but nice enough to satisfy the older crowd. Features a slew of Cleveland, Ohio's lesser-known, but decent, rap acts contributing stage time.
