The magnificent visual aesthetic of Burton's animation and a lead character voiced by Johnny Depp. What more could you want? Well what you get is a sweet story of love lost with a nether-worldly twist or two. Victor Van Dort (Depp) is set to marry Victoria Everglat (Watson) in a parentally-arranged union. Nervous and awkward, Victor retreats to the nearby graveyard, practicing the vows he has struggled to memorize, where he accidentally slips the ring on the finger (which he takes for a twig) of the long dead Corpse Bride (Carter). She comes to life and insists she is now his wife, and he is then plunged into the much brighter world of the dead.
