Transporter 2 Movie Review 2005

Second in what appears will be a series. This time Frank (Statham) is in Miami, working as a driver for one very wealthy family's young son, Jack (Clary). Jack is kidnapped in a sinister plot to bilk his parents out of beaucoup bucks. Powerful dad (Modine) and distraught mom (Valletta) are really just along for the ride. Even hard-core action fans might balk at some of the implausible scenes (one involving a jet ski on a highway is particularly goofy), though the commitment to jam-packing action into the film is impressive. Plot is eerily similar to "Man on Fire" although the execution is not.
