Tropical Malady Movie Review 2004

Maybe it makes more sense to a Thai audience. In present-day Thailand, soldier Keng (Lamnoi) meets country boy Tong (Kaewbuadee) and the two fall in love. Then we go from the natural to the supernatural world and something involving a Thai legend about a shaman who can transform himself into animals. Keng encounters a tiger in the jungle or maybe it's just a spirit tiger and Tong disappears except maybe he's the animal--or maybe not. And there's a talking monkey and the spirit of a dead cow. Thai with subtitles.
