Quirky, if forlorn, comedy from Jarmusch. Murray does minimalism in his portrayal of confirmed, middle-aged bachelor Don Johnston whose orderly life becomes disarrayed when he learns he fathered a son from a long-ago liaison. Only there are four potential moms (a fifth has died), so Don reluctantly goes on a road trip to re-acquaint himself with Laura (Stone), Dora (Conroy), Carmen (Lange), and Penny (Swinton). His welcome varies--not much really happens--and Murray is more Don Quixote (with Wright as his stay-at-home Sancho Panza) than Don Juan.
