King of the Corner Movie Review 2004

Leo (Riegert) has hit the middle-age wall and can hardly hold back his angst. He abhors his lifelong VP status at a Manhattan marketing job, wife Rachel (Rossellini) appears mentally unstable, and teenage daughter Elena (Johnson) just started dating. Adding to the stress are every-other-weekend treks to Arizona to visit his dying father Sol, whose sage advice for Leo teaches him the real meaning about being a "good Jew." Adapted from the short-story collection "Bad Jews and Other Stories" by Gerald Shapiro, who co-wrote the screenplay along with actor/director Riegert.
