Super Troopers Movie Review 2001

Vermont is the setting for this snobs vs. slobs comedy that pits wacky state troopers facing a budget-forced shutdown against the local cops, who curry favor with the politicians. Plot involving a jurisdictional fight over a murder and a drug bust only occassionally interferes with the drug, sex, and gross-out humor that carries the pic to a satisfying conclusion. Cox is hilarious as the barely-in-control commander of the station, while Von Bargen does a great job as his nemesis.
