Son of "The Endless Summer" creator Bruce Brown, Dana Brown brings his father's sense of kineticism to the races in this high-octane documentary. The Baja 1000 is the world's more dangerous and notorious race, open to dirt bikes, souped-up VW bugs, 4x4s, and just about anything else. Its dusty trails and Mexican highways are captured in all their white-knuckled madness through the use of 50 different cameras, edited seamlessly. However, once a few of the race's more eccentric characters are introduced along the way, things slow down considerably. It takes a few jump starts to get going now and then, but overall it's a whopping 97-minute condensed version of this 16 hour trek. Racing legends Robby Gordon, Mario Andretti, and Jimmy Vasser join in the fun.
