Unleashed Movie Review 2005

Fight scenes are taken to seat-jolting heights by renowned martial-arts choreographer Yuen Wo Ping in this live-action cyberpunk cartoon starring Jet Li as Danny the human pit bull. Enslaved from childhood and conditioned to kill without conscience by his ruthless London mobster "owner" Bart (Hoskins), Danny maims and mutilates delinquent debtors when his collar is removed. With the collar he's passive and docile. His accidental liberation sends him to the only person who was ever kind to him, a blind piano tuner (Freeman), who through piano music helps connect him with his humanity. The gangster, alas, returns for Danny resulting in one last showdown of canine love and loyalty.
