Jiminy Glick in LaLa Wood Movie Review 2005

Obsequious smalltime entertainment critic Jiminy Glick (Short) and his clueless wife Dixie (Hooks) are in showbiz heaven at the Toronto Film Festival. Granted an exclusive interview with rising young star Ben DiCarlo (Pearson), Jiminy is wined and dined and catches the eye of fading diva Miranda Coolidge (Perkins). When Miranda is murdered, Jiminy inexplicably investigates. Short's grating Comedy Central character is unsuccessfully carried to the big screen, seemingly so Short will have a showcase for his dead-on David Lynch impersonation. The only other reason to take a look is Higgins's turn as Eurotrash snob Andre.
