On her way out of town, college graduate Maggie Peyton (Lohan) spends 75 bucks to free a '63 VW Beetle from the junkyard scrap pile and has boy pal Kevin (Long) restore it. Lo and behold, it's Herbie and he helps Maggie prove her driving skills to her NASCAR champ daddy (Keaton)--who's spent his energies on his not-as-talented son--as they race against pompous archenemy Trip Murphy (Dillon). The sassy Lohan, in her third Disney venture, picks up the speed for an uninspired-and-somewhat-CGI Herbie. Fifth feature in a series that, 15 years before, seemed out of gas.
