Dahlia Williams' (Connelly) soon-to-be ex-husband tells her she's nuts and she wonders if he might be right when she moves with her five-year-old daughter Ceci (Gabe) into a dilapidated and perhaps, yes, haunted Roosevelt Island apartment that is plagued by creepy noises from a supposedly vacant flat upstairs. Then there's that little-but-quickly-expanding water stain on the ceiling that seems a little...alive. Tries to be spooky but is just all wet. Based on Hideo Nakata's 2002 Japanese horror film of the same name.
