Instead of an actual remake of the 1964-72 hit TV show, the Ephron sisters opted for a behind-the-scenes parody. Down-and-out actor Jack Wyatt (Ferrell) hopes his new role as Darrin will magically revive his career. Not wanting to be upstaged, he picks a nose-wiggling--and unknown--Isabel (Kidman) for Samantha the witch, not knowing that she really IS one. Since she disavowed (sort of) her witchery to live a mortal life, she accepts and sees Jack as a potential worldly mate. Once his egomania becomes evident, she can't help but revert to a little voodoo to shake things up. Great cast but tale doesn't cast a spell.
