The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D Movie Review 2005

Multi-hyphenate Rodriguez uses a story from son Racer as the basis for this kid-friendly adventure. Ten year-old misfit Max (Boyd) dreams up a couple of young superheroes and finds them coming to life. Sharkboy (Lautner) and Lavagirl (Dooley) need Max's help to save their home world, Planet Drool, from the evil Mr. Electric (Lopez). The cartoonish gee-wizardry will no doubt appeal to its target audience, but might struggle to hold the attention of older kids.
