Jones, with his weathered face and deadpan grumpiness, goes slumming in this silly comedy about cheerleaders who witness a murder. Roland Sharp is a stoic Texas Ranger assigned to protect five giggly (and jiggly) members (Milian, Keena, Garces, Ferlito, Garner) of the University of Texas Longhorns' cheerleading squad. He moves into their sorority house and offers fatherly advice while trying to awkwardly woo an age-appropriate professor (Archer) and find the bad guy. For some reason Cedric the Entertainer turns up briefly as an ex-con preacher with his own pep squad moves.
