Burnt-out hostage negotiator (Willis) retreats to the suburbs hoping for calm, only to find himself pulled into the middle of a deadly crisis. Three delinquents take over the house of an underworld accountant (Pollack), whose shadowy employers then kidnap Willis's family, forcing him to retrieve their vital info hidden inside. Very violent, exciting, and grim melodrama with a dizzying number of twists and turns. Ben Foster is memorably sick as the psycho leader of the young thugs.
